Should I choose self-paced or instructor-led training for my team?

Each delivery option has benefits. Our online self-paced, instructor-led virtual, and instructor-led onsite training are all great options, but your group and needs will determine which is the best fit.

How are online self-paced courses administered?

On the date of your choosing, each participant will get their own account to log in to our learning management system. It's fully browser-based, and no download is required.

They can access the training materials 24/7 from any internet-connected device. Exercises, quizzes, and resources are all handled within the platform. Each participant also receives a weekly reminder of their process.

Instructors are available to participants for questions and will provide detailed written feedback on participant writing. 

Your team's progress can be viewed at any time from your custom tracking portal. You can see who is enrolled and where they are in their training.

Self-paced trainings innately include the most instructor feedback. Depending on the training, it will include detailed written feedback and/or a live coaching session. 

Instructor-led live trainings include many exercises and feedback opportunities throughout. This video clip will illustrate a group writing exercise in action in on-site training. Live, virtual training is similarly interactive using breakout rooms for small group or peer discussion.

Live trainings also typically includes an opportunity to receive written feedback on any business or technical document for up to two weeks following the training.

To truly improve writing, it's essential that employees have the opportunity to write and receive individual feedback. This ensures they can demonstrate their skills instead of merely understanding concepts theoretically. 

Additional individual feedback can be added to any training as well.

Do you offer any other training and support options?

We have a few different "add-on" options that can be included in your corporate writing training. Some of these may be included at no cost if you have a group of a certain size or opt for a certain training method.

Live Instructor-Led Group Webinar: Review of an actual work document together, plus any additional writing questions addressed from online training work. This usually follows a group enrolled in an online, self-paced training.

Document Review: Instructor review and detailed written feedback of an actual work document. This type of feedback is included automatically in all of our trainings, but the quantity or timing can be customized.

Individual Live Coaching Session: A one-on-one review of an actual work document, plus coaching on individual writing issues via Zoom. 

While there are some other ways to customize your training, our company's entire focus is helping people to work better by writing better, and we can construct whatever support or training you need.
